häppy came up with a campaign that is meta by design: comedy legend Klaas pitching his wildest commercial ideas to Twitch-star Papaplatte, imagining crazy storylines and putting words in Kevin’s mouth he would never say — and Kevin reenacting that vision, just to kill the enthusiasm a few words later.
My job was to keep that energy alive while fitting all of it precisely into 30 seconds – and still be able to react to their impulses despite shooting in elaborate virtual environments rendered live on an LED wall.
Scripted enough to give the production safety, loose enough to let both of them be genuinely themselves.
Two performers from completely different worlds, carefully directed to look like none of it was planned at all – this is where my skill of directing mixed-media and actors from different backgrounds comes in handy.
