Jans briefing for INTRO was bold:
“Do everything you can imagine — but do it in one single take.”
I built the concept around that challenge. We planned one continuous take, even though the action moved across three locations. After rehearsing the full choreography, we shot it in five takes, connecting the movements seamlessly in-camera and in post.
The visual world grew from a team effort: illustrations by Typeholics‘ Henning Weskamp, cartoon sequences developed by Lars Paukstat and 3D-animations and post-production by Paul’s Boutique. I contributed by crafting 8-bit animations from old LP covers, building a custom Photoshop interface and various SoMe-Filters, as well as playfully animated some additional illustrations by Udo Lindenberg and Otto Waalkes.
Together, our team created a continuous, hyper-creative one-take journey where live performance, hand-crafted animation, and digital effects blend naturally.
